| On Sunday (25/03/2001) the Pirates lost to Indians in the Grand final of the 2000/2001 season.
It was played in very wet conditions, In the first innings the Pirates got one runner on base and then got 3 up 3 down, that was probably the best inning pirates had all game. We did well in the field to stop the Indians All star team to get more runs on the board, but it just wasnt enough to win.
''We just didnt use the bats today'', Joe Coulter said after the game.
Great Pitching from Matt White, Tom O'Gorman, Jon Kealy and Wade Higgens.
Tom O'Gorman got player of the Grand Final, and Mathew White got Most Valuable Player of the season.
